Alps of New South Wales is the first full length by Alps, and the first album in the now complete Alps of NSW trilogy. A raw, totally lofi effort, it was recorded in 2005 in a garage in Tamworth New South Wales on a karaoke machine with one microphone and six cassette tapes.
It was originally released on 12" black in an edition of 300 numbered copies on Sydney imprint Sound & Fury records, and later reissued on CD by Shriek Sounds in Australia and Beat is Murder Records in Germany.
A year after the tragic passing of Adam Mills, Sound and Fury records owner/operator, a box of the original numbered pressing of Alps of New South Wales on vinyl was uncovered. This is not a repress, and there will not be a repress. These are the last copies that will ever be available of this record.
The record now includes a download code. It is available for $20 post paid in Australia only until sold out.
